| The "Chalet Josi" is located at the "Obere Wiese" at an altitude of 1,140m (3,740 ft.), surrounded by mountain pastures, larchs and firs, and a wonderful view down to the Leutasch valley. |

Leutasch is a snowy, sunny Alpine valley at an altitude of 1,150m (3,773 ft.) surrounded by mountains summits of 2,700m (8,858 ft.) and a flat bottom of the valley. In the north the Wetterstein mountain range with the Zugspitze, in the west the Mieminger mountain range with the "Hohe Munde" and open to the south. The Leutasch valley is very sunny and fog-free and as on the whole Seefeld plateau, there is no foehn. The town of Leutasch is 16 km (10 miles) long and comprises 24 districts. Leutasch is the largest cross-country skiing center of the Alps with 240km (150 miles) of cross-country ski runs, which are prepared daily. These ski tracks are connected to the Olympic cross-country ski runs.
